From 1 July 2025, the new Tan Uyen Ward was formed by merging Uyen Hung Ward with the communes of Bach Dang, Tan Lap and part of Tan My, while Binh Duong was consolidated into Ho Chi Minh City.
This has long been the centre of the former Tan Uyen urban area, an established neighbourhood with a dense existing population and functioning administrative offices, market, schools and healthcare facilities already in place, rather than infrastructure that residents must wait for as in many new suburban townships.
From the project, the ward administrative centre and Uyen Hung Market are roughly 800 m – 1 km away; the industrial parks that generate genuine housing demand for the area – Nam Tan Uyen, VSIP II and VSIP III – all sit within a radius of a few kilometres.
On transport, To Huu Street (route DH412) has a 36 m right of way and connects directly to the DT746 and DT747 arterials towards Thu Dau Mot, Di An or across to Dong Nai.
At the regional level, the project benefits from infrastructure currently under way including HCMC Ring Road 4, the HCMC – Chon Thanh expressway and the widened National Highway 13, all of which shorten travel times to the city centre.

Foreigners may not take assignment of land plots (they may only buy houses attached to land within a commercial housing project) and are not eligible to purchase social housing.
